WORD: Praying With Authority

"That's a good idea," everyone agreed.
25Elijah said to Baal's prophets, "There are more of you, so you go first. Pick out a bull and get it ready, but don't light the fire. Then pray to your god."
27At noon, Elijah began making fun of them. "Pray louder!" he said. "Baal must be a god. Maybe he's day-dreaming or using the toilet or traveling somewhere. Or maybe he's asleep, and you have to wake him up."
30Elijah told everyone to gather around him while he repaired the LORD's altar. 31-32Then he used twelve stones to build an altar in honor of the LORD. Each stone stood for one of the tribes of Israel, which was the name the LORD had given to their ancestor Jacob. Elijah dug a ditch around the altar, large enough to hold about thirteen quarts. 33He placed the wood on the altar, then they cut the bull into pieces and laid the meat on the wood.

THAT'S IT I'M MOVING TO CANADA

I really love this blog http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/ and I posted something from it previously but this one right here....we can all agree it's true....because apparently a lot of white people are going to move to Canada since Obama is president.
I don't really know why...I think because he's a socialist and too liberal...or so they say....and that's just a step away from communism but....if memory serves me correctly.....Canada is slick socialist....and the rest of the European countries too....so that just shows that maybe him being a socialist isn't the problem...maybe it's because he's black. So...maybe they're just racists. Yeah that sounds about right.
HERE'S THE POST THOUGH!
#75: Threatening to Move to
Canada
Often times, white people get frustrated with the
state of their country. They do not like the President, or Congress, or the
health care system, or the illegal status of Marijuana. Whenever they are
presented with a situation that seems unreasonable to them, their first instinct
is to threaten to move to Canada.
For example, if you are watching TV with white
people and there is a piece on the news about that they do not agree with, they
are likely to declare “ok, that’s it, I’m moving to Canada.”
Though they will
never actually move to Canada, the act of declaring that they are willing to
undertake the journey is very symbolic in white culture. It shows that their
dedication to their lifestyle and beliefs are so strong, that they would
consider packing up their entire lives and moving to a country that is only
slightly different to the one they live in now.
Within white culture, it is agreed upon that if
Canada had better weather it would be a perfect place.
Being aware that this information can be used
quite easily to gain the trust of white people. Whenever they say, “I’m moving
to Canada,” you must immediately respond with “I have relatives in
Canada.”
They will then expect you to tell them about
how Canada has a perfect healthcare system, legalized everything, and no crime.
Though not true, it will reassure them that they are making the right choice by
saying they want to move there.
But be warned, they will reference you in
future conversations and possibly call on you to settle disputes about Canadian
tax rates. So use this advice only if you plan to do some basic
research.
Note: Canadian white people threaten to move to
Europe.
Note: Europeans are unable to threaten to move
anywhere.

I promise...I don't care how fine my boyfriend is....if he EVER showed up around me wearing a leather set....I'd break up with him. That's just....rude to me. GOD FORBID my husband do it.....Imma just disappear for a couple of days.
MAybe this says a lot about me but....it was real "appealing" the whole "GRAB YOU BY THE NECK UNTIL YOU LET ME KNOW" part of the song. I dunno....yeah....lets not get into that. BUT ya know maybe it's because he's just fine anyway and I ain't never had nobody grab me by the neck so....I'm just....Imma just shut up! SHUT UP ME!

It's Official! Barack is President!
Happy Election Day!
But on that subject I read this wonderful article in the Daily Beacon October 30 by Amien Essif and I just wanted to post it. You can reach him @ aessif@utk.edu
If a citizen of a nation feels forced to vote for someone who does not represent him simply because the candidate has a chance at winning, then the nation is not a democracy.
This is the premise on which I am making my first choice for president of the United States. I refuse to vote for either Sen. John McCain or Sen. Barack Obama simply because it is my privilege, even my duty, as a citizen of a free country to vote for a candidate I respect, trust and agree with. Both frontrunners are tools in a two-party system that I believe works against democracy.
This November I will vote against corporate sponsorship of elections, against capital punishment, against the World Trade Organization, against mountain-top removal mining, against imperialism, against the U.S. Patriot Act, against an expansion of our bloated military, against the drug war and against the abuses of the Constitution in Guantanamo Bay prison. I will vote for universal health care, instant-runoff voting, gay marriage and a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict.
The question asked of me most often is whether or not we can afford to let the Republicans win in critical times like these. My response is another question: Can we afford to accept a lesser-of-two evils in critical times like these? Can we afford to send the message that political tricks and trade-offs can pacify progressives? Can we afford to accept a mediocre plan for solving the climate crisis, the food crisis, and in the near future, a water crisis, even when the scientific community regularly concludes that anything but a radical reversal of our unsustainable lifestyles will result in mass suffering? Can we afford to attach ourselves to someone we know will fail us?
We know the answer, but still we refuse to act on what both our instincts and our intellect urge us. We refuse to accept that Obama would be a topical treatment at best for what ails our world. Far from personally attacking a man whom I’m sure has convinced himself that what he is doing is right, I am merely stating what is obvious to so many of us at this intellectual institution. War begets war, and we can have no more of it. Nuclear arms, even when in storage, are an affront to humanity, and we must stop manufacturing them. Capital punishment, detainment at Guantanamo Bay, jail time for marijuana use, and mountain-top removal mining are barbaric, and we must end these policies, not vote for them.
Yet once again we fold under the heavy blanket ceiling of the ballot booth, burdened by weighty words such as hope and change. Are we still children? Have we forgotten that we have little hope for change as long as Democrats know they can steal our support by blackmailing us with the threat of another conservative president? John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson were responsible for the Vietnam War. Sen. Joseph Biden is responsible for the war on drugs. Bill Clinton is responsible for NAFTA. So don’t be fooled. Obama will not wait long to begin reaching across the aisle for backwards, immoral policies to place on the public’s back, forcing us to carry it to high ground as an offering to the corporate giants who made him a star.
Then all the Obama pins will unclasp from the backpacks. The chalk murals of red, white and blue sunrises will wash from the sidewalk. The shirts will go into storage for 10 years until we can pull them out again and pretend that Obama was so much better than the Republican we’ll have in office then, on the other side of the political cycle that we do nothing to break.
But meanwhile, while those shirts are still newly folded and packed away, you’ll shake your head and ask, “How could we have known? What could we have done?”
The truth is that we knew the answer on Nov. 4. We saw their Web sites and their bumper stickers and we thought, well, there’s nothing to do but go along with it. And we were lying to ourselves. There are options that don’t come with disillusionment, but they are forced into obscurity or ridiculed by the system that they challenge.
Without challenging the system, though, we cannot expect an end to its byproducts like climate change and poverty. All my convictions, all my reading and all my reason urge me to vote for the Independent candidate Ralph Nader on Tuesday, and I’m proud to acquiesce.
If you feel neither Obama, McCain nor Nader represent you, choose another candidate. If you dislike the whole thing, don’t vote. Do what you think is right, not what is a little better. Go on record in future textbooks as one of the few humans alive who knew what was going on. Vote your conscience.

Anyways the first exhibition game was today....tonight and we won against the Indianapolis Greyhounds (WHATHAF?) and with a name like that....kinda expected that outcome so...we're gonna see how they do against someone else. Not saying they won by a large margin but still....
Oh yeah I ain't get to see the game well only the last half and it was all digitalized and janky looking so...yeah basically I didn't see the game. BUT I HEARD THE GAME if that counts for anything.
Yeah but ok I got the score and what not.

Woolridge aka The Answer aka Swiper Boy....one of the new Tennessee Vols, BALLER VOLSWe're Gonna Miss You Coach Fulmer!

Is that correct? Whatever. You see I don't know. But he was just old to me and I'm not "anti-old people" but you know I'm just saying I'd quit after I got a National Championship so folks wouldn't expect me to pull another one out the hat. I'm not an overachiever you can guess.
But I don't know it just feels weird him leaving and all. It's like UT's colors being changed to Purple & Gold. I'd be really devasted then....
Yeah but ummm the question is
WHO'S GONNA REPLACE HIM?
Well the folks over at Rocky Top Talk (It's a blog listed below) says a source....or some snitch in the inner circle is saying these could be some potential replacements!

To Vote or Not to Vote?...For Who is the Question
Watching the debates should give a good indication of who to vote for. Unfortunately people do not always listen to the issues the candidates talk about. They rather look at the characteristics or personal background history to determine who can run this country, which is good in some aspects. Overall, one man can not fix this mess we are in now. But we do not want anyone that would add on to it.
Heres a video of Palin getting booed at a Hockey game. I think she uses her kids as a shield. Aint they suppose to be in school anyways? What kind of mom is she? http://www.youtube.com/v/gd4wQd_gbj8
If ask me, I think Obama has this election pretty much wrapped up.
You only need 270 electoral votes to win the election and according to recent polls, he is way and beyond 270.

WE LOST! :::sad face::: We'll Win The Next Ones!

Ok all that I know is this:
We lost against UCLA after going into overtime....and what does the Associated Press have to say?
Vols Drop Opener at UCLA in Overtime, 27-24
PASADENA, Calif. (AP) -- Quarterback Kevin Craft sparked UCLA's offense to life in the second half Monday night, and Kai Forbath kicked a 42-yard field goal in overtime to lift the Bruins to a 27-24 victory over No. 18 Tennessee, making coach Rick Neuheisel's debut a winning one.
The underdog Bruins, who took the lead with 27 seconds left in regulation, were forced into overtime when the Volunteers' Daniel Lincoln kicked a 47-yard field goal as time expired.
But in the overtime, when neither the Bruins nor the Vols were able pick up a first down, Forbath made his kick and then Lincoln missed from 34 yards.
Craft, who threw four interceptions and totaled 66 yards in the opening half of his first game for UCLA, went 18-of-25 for 193 yards and one touchdowns in the second half without an interception.
All I gotta say is GOOD JOB! I couldn't do it, I wasn't there, sooooooo GO VOLS!
September 13th it better be going down though....that's all I'm going to say!

Show starts September 4th - September 21 and you can see the scheduling on

FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON

Tennessee had a rocky stop in California last year. The Volunteers hope for a smoother visit this time.
Humbled 45-31 by California in the 2007 opener at Berkeley, No. 18 Tennessee kicks off on the West Coast again, facing coach Rick Neuheisel's new-look UCLA Bruins at the Rose Bowl on Monday night.
"Openers are always tough, but when you have a coaching switch as UCLA did, it makes it especially tough for us," Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer said. "It will be a process of adjusting and learning throughout the game. Both teams will have to adjust as the game moves along."
Vols defensive end Wes Brown likes the way the nationally televised game shapes up.
"It's going to be a heck of a lot of fun," he said. "Getting the national spotlight on Monday night football, two quality teams. It doesn't get much better than that."
Neuheisel, the former UCLA quarterback who returned to Westwood last December to replace the fired Karl Dorrell, knows the Bruins face a big test against the Vols, last year's SEC East Division champions. The Bruins slogged through a 6-7 season."We certainly understand the stature of their program and the challenge that lies ahead of us," Neuheisel said. "We're eager to find out where we are. We're aware we have a formidable foe in an SEC mainstay like Tennessee.
"We know we're going to have play our level best to be in the game, but that's exciting. If you choose to look at it that way, I think you give yourself a better chance of actually pulling it off."
Both teams have new offensive coordinators and new quarterbacks. Dave Clawson joined Fulmer's Tennessee staff, and Neuheisel brought in Norm Chow to oversee the Bruins' offense.
In an orderly transition, Jonathan Crompton has replaced Erik Ainge as the Vols' quarterback. In a considerably more disruptive change, third-stringer Kevin Craft became the Bruins' starter because Patrick Cowan is out for the year with a knee injury and Ben Olson will miss at least the first few games because of a foot injury."The unknown in this deal is how fast our offense responds to coach Chow and how fast their offense responds to their new coordinator," Neuheisel said. "And the two new quarterbacks. That will be of interest."
Craft, a juco transfer who started five games at San Diego State in 2006, got the job when Olson broke his right foot on Aug. 9.
"I was in a similar situation at San Diego State, where I was the third quarterback and three games into the season, I'm in there," he said, recalling how injuries sidelined the Aztecs' first two quarterbacks two years ago. "The first game I started was at BYU, so I know what to expect."
Craft, a 6-foot-5, 205-pounder, was mostly solid in that game against BYU, going 20-of-32 for 216 yards with one interception. The Aztecs still lost 45-17.
He may face considerably tougher working conditions than Crompton does Monday night. The Vols have five starters back on an offensive line that allowed a nation-low four sacks last season. Craft will be operating behind a group of blockers that already was short on experience and has been thinned even more by injuries.
"Guys are stepping up, not just at quarterback," Craft said. "A lot of linemen got hurt and guys stepped up. We've been moving guys around, and everybody's been improving."
Neuheisel, who had a combined 66-30 record coaching four years each at Colorado and Washington, believes the Bruins, picked to finish fifth in the Pac-10 preseason poll, may have some added motivation.
"I think this group has a little chip on its shoulder, feels like it's been cast off as also-rans," the Bruins' coach said. "I think they're anxious to show that we're more than that."
The defense, led by tackle Brigham Harwell, linebacker Reggie Carter and cornerback Alterraun Verner, figures to be the Bruins' strong suit. The offense will feature tailback Kahlil Bell, last year's leading rusher with 795 yards.
The Vols will depend heavily on Arian Foster, who ran for 1,193 yards and 12 touchdowns last year, and Lucas Taylor, who had 73 receptions for 1,000 yards and five TDs.
Tennessee's defense gets a boost with the return of safety
Demetrice Morley, back after being academically ineligible for a year. Rico McCoy anchors a solid linebacking corps.
The Vols hold a 7-4-2 edge in the series, winning the most recent meeting 30-24 in Pasadena 11 years ago. Peyton Manning threw a pair of touchdown passes in the victory.Yeah.......what they said! Anywho the game comes on @ 8:15 pm EST on:
