Seeing that a lot of black students at UT are from Memphis, this is kind of big deal for us. Something like our HWCU version of a HBCU Homecoming Weekend.
But tomorrow the 3 Kings will be having their....whatchacallit....well it's a party but it has a "SPECIAL NAME" let me see here...
Ok wait they're having a whole WEEKEND THING! And it's entitled:
SHOW ME WHAT YOU REPPIN' WEEKEND
and let them tell it, it is the
OFFICIAL UT v. MEMPHIS Weekend
People don't tell the whole truth though, but since there is no one to regulate we'll let them lay claim of it.
BACK TO THE SUBJECT! Tomorrow it's going down at Club 106 with
THE TIP OFF! oooooooooooo! Starts at 9pm and everyone gets in for the $4.99 before 11pm if you have a college ID.
Now here is where it gets "difficult"....Saturday....they doing something AGAIN at the old Tonic, used to be Barataria, now it's Catalyst and all ladies get in for FREE BEFORE 12am with a college ID.
Based off that fact alone I'll be there.
BUT something epic will be going on up the street, make a left at the stop sign, walk 50 paces, then stop at Club 106.
THE KAOS PARTY!
I don't have Greek Letters on my keyboard but that's the KAPPA, ALPHA, OMEGA, SIGMA....sorry no...umm...what they called....Iotas. Not them they ain't on the scene yet.
They ain't talking bout letting nobody in for the $Free.99 though so I ain't too sure about them. EVEN though it would be a wonderful photo op!
NOW if someone magically gives me a VIP pass I'll be there with heels on. OTHERWISE.
I'm KIDDING! I'll be there! I'll just be at the free party first.
Lets not forget the reason for the weekend! The Fabulous UT Men's Basketball Team will be playing the almost National Champions LAST YEAR Memphis Tigers @ 3:30pm.
I'm not saying anyone should go to the game because I WANT GOOD SEATS BUT SUPPORT YOUR VOLS!
